Dangers of Pepsi and Coke

Do you drink coke? Then check this out.
What do you think about this?

I do drink coke, in fact I do not take anything alcoholic not only because of my religious belief but because it causes "Cirrhosis of ths liver" i.e inflammation of the liver.

Now coke or pepsi(soft drinks)are also injurious to health.
According to a medical journal, if man eats, the cells tend to die gradually and if you refuse to eat you cause more damage, the cells also die. They even argued that certain meats are not good for consumption despite their being advantageous to the body in a way such is snail.

What do you think about this? How then can we live long?

DANGERS OF COKE & PEPSI (SOFT DRINKS)

For those of you who LOVE Coke/Pepsi. Just when you thought you knew everything.

1) To clean a toilet:

Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl.
Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean.
The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
No scrubbing, no sweat - guaranteed.

2) To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:

Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of aluminum foils dipped in Coca-Cola.
Much economical than the stuff from Smart Shop.

3) To clean corrosion from car battery terminals;

Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

4) To loosen a rusted bolt;

Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

5) To remove grease from clothes;

Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle.
6) The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

Hey, what do we have here?

The world's first soft drink disguise as a multi-purpose cleaner? Or should it be a multi-purpose cleaner disguise as a soft drink!!!

Besides that, If you pour Coke (yes, the soda) on a slab of pork, wait a little while, you will SEE WORMS crawl out of it.

AND WE DRINK THIS STUFF! Coke & Pepsi ALARMING FACTS!!!

The average pH of soft drinks, e.g. Coke, Pepsi is pH 3.4. This acidity is strong enough to dissolve teeth and bones! Our human body stops building bones at around the age of 30. After that it'll be dissolving about 8-18% of the bones each year through the urine, depending on the acidity of the food intake (acidity does not depend on the taste of the food, but on the ratio of potassium / calcium / magnesium / etc. to phosphorus).

All the dissolved calcium compounds accumulate in the arteries, veins, skin tissue, and organs. This affects the functioning of the kidney (kidney stones). Soft drinks do not have any nutritional value (in terms of vitamins and minerals). They have higher sugar content, higher acidity, and more additives such as preservatives and colourings.

Some people like to take cold soft drinks after each meal, guess what's the impact? Our body has an optimum temperature of 37 degrees for the functioning of digestive enzymes. The temperature of cold soft drinks is much less than 37, sometimes quite close to 0. This will lower the effectiveness of the enzymes and put stress on the digestive system, digesting less food. In fact the food gets fermented. The fermented food produce bad smelling gases, decays and forms toxins, which are absorbed in the intestines, get circulated in the blood and is delivered to the whole body. This spread of toxins can lead to the development of various diseases. Think before you drink Coke or Pepsi or any another soft drinks.

Have you ever thought what you drink when you drink an aerated drink? You gulp down carbon dioxide, something that no sane person in the world would advise you to do. Few months ago, there was a competition in Delhi University "Who can drink the most Coke?". The winner drank 8 bottles and died on the spot because too much carbon dioxide in the blood and not enough oxygen. From then on, the principal banned all soft drinks from the university canteen.

Someone put a broken tooth in a bottle of Pepsi and in 10 days it is dissolved! Teeth and bones are the only human organs that stay intact for years after death. Imagine what the drink must be doing to your delicate soft intestines and stomach lining! To all COKE / PEPSI LOVERS, think again the next time before you say " CHUP

Firms Fined for Bribing Nigerian Custom
Related to country: Nigeria

Three oil drilling companies accused of bribing Nigerian Customs officials for fast clearance will pay the United States government $26 million in the largest criminal settlement of foreign corruption charges, the US Justice Department said yesterday.

The Associated Press (AP) reported that the companies are subsidiaries of British-based Vetco International Limited, and at least one of them settled similar bribery charges in 2004. A US Justice Department official said the companies , Vetco Gray UK Limited, Vetco Gray Controls Inc., and Vetco Gray Controls Limited , paid customs officers $2.1 million to speed equipment and employees into the United States .

The payments, 378 in all, were largely processed through Vetco Gray Controls, Inc., which is based in Houston.

The three companies were expected to sign off on the settlement in US District Court in Houston later yesterday, said the Justice official spoke on condition of anonymity because the hearing had not yet occurred.

The US Justice Department explained further that the payments which went to employees of the Nigerian Customs Service were coordinated largely through Vetco Gray Controls Inc.'s offices in Houston, the Justice Department said.

The case marked the second time since 2004 that Vetco Gray UK has pleaded guilty to violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the department said.

It said Vetco Gray UK and an affiliated company pleaded guilty in July of 2004 to violating the anti-bribery provision of the law over the payment of more than $1 million in bribes to officials of a Nigerian government agency.

In addition to the criminal fines, the plea agreements also require the defendants to hire an independent monitor to make sure they comply with the law, the department said.

EFCC Probes OBJ
Related to country: Nigeria

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is investigating the President's alleged link with some businesses in violation of the Constitution, its chairman said yesterday. Mr Nuhu Ribadu said his agency was probing allegations that Obasanjo was involved in ownership or management of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp) and the Bells University.

Ribadu was, for 60 minutes yesterday, guest of The Nation in Lagos."We are investigating and we will come out with our report" on these establishments, he said. The EFCC boss said the outcome of the investigation would be tabled for public consumption. Obasanjo's critics say he owns 200 million shares in Transcorp, the new business giant that is making waves in Nigeria. The Action Congress (AC) and the Atiku Campaign Organization led the way in disclosing these to Nigerians. He also allegedly owns the Bells University, licensed last year, as well as other businesses, whereas the 1999 Constitution prohibits public functionaries from engaging in private businesses while in office. The chairperson of Transcorp which bought majority stake in Nicon Hilton and the Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (NITEL), Mrs Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke, the chief executive of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). She once confirmed that Obasanjo Farms Limited bought the said shares. Mrs Okereke-Onyiuke is officially a member of Obasanjo's economic team. Trancorp is into oil, telecommunications, agriculture, trade and entertainment.

At yesterday's interview session at The Nation, Ribadu battled fiercely to defend the integrity of the EFCC, which has come under severe attacks, following its listing of politicians who, it says, should not run for office. The limits of the commission's power have also been a subject of controversy. All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) presidential candidate Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has alleged that the list of "indicted" politicians sent to the Federal Government was "doctored". Ribadu said the list being "doctored" was irrelevant as it was incumbent on the Federal Government to do whatever it likes with it. He was passionate in replying questions - raising his hand at times in driving home his point. Other times, he would just smile.

Ribadu has fought so many wars, and he has won , just losing a few.The dultimate war before the expiration of the Present Government is the war to on OBJ.
I honestly respect, adore and pray for Ribadu not because of his doggedness but becaues i know him personally before he became the Anti Curruption Campaigner. He is a fine gentleman.
Please if these OBJ Probe is a mere charade and deception to fool Nigerians , please stop and let Baba Iyabo rest in Peace.
Otherwise if you are geneuinely interested in Probing OBJ ultimately, Then i think you should definitely indict him. With all the allegations reaised by Atiku and co, OBJ 's hand is soiled.

Go ahead and indict Mr Prsedinent.

My Anambra Visit
Related to country: Nigeria

Travelling to these part of Nigeria causes great disillutionment.
After schooling in Port Harcourt for close to 5years, the Niger region of Onisha,Aba, Umuahia, Awka, Enugu are places that i have always visited. The university campuses of these states
are my haven places.
I left lagos last Friday as a TV Correspondent to cover a political rally of Andy Uba Sports through Peace Campaign.

Of interest to me were the names of Celebrities attending, Entertainment stars and Old soccer greats of the game of soccer in Nigeria graced the event.
I saw Austin Eguavon, Christian Chukwu, Ibrahim Babangida, Muhammed Manga, John Fashanu, slyvanus Okpalla and a host of others.Notable Entertainment stars like Ruggedman Kanayo. O. kanayo, Kilint the drunk, Chika Okpalla {Zebrudaya alis 4.30}, and a host of others.

They were all united for the cause of supporting Andy Uba to be next Governor of Anambra State.

My writing is based on the level of poverty, ignorance and backwardness of the state of Anambra.
The town is shut for any sort of Commercial services after 7pm, because there is no adequate supply of Electricity. The crime rate in Anambra is on the rise, even at the day of these event , Ambassador John Fashanu was robbed of his belongings,Luckily he escaped being hurt.

The Anambra people as i was told have so many rich and great Nigerians as its indigenes.so what is wrong with the state.
The place is bedevilled , there are no motorable roads , the roads are bad and suicidal.
I shall in the coming days tell you about the dramas, people and unbelievable stories from Anambra.
For now please tell all Anambrans to unite and build the state which has not known peace, Economic development and Infrastructural development.
Unite to build Anambra.

Result International
Related to country: Nigeria

Results international Nigeria is a Non Profit organisation with its objective to eradicate poverty.
There is no magic silver bullet that will end hunger. Persistent hunger is directly related to conditions of poverty and the issues that keep both in place are complex and tenacious. Ending hunger is not simply a matter of feeding enough people. The conditions that keep more than a quarter of the world population in absolute poverty — living on less than the equivalent buying power of one U.S. dollar a day — must be tackled.

The Goals:
Eradicate Extreme Hunger and Poverty
Achieve Universal Primary Education
Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women
Reduce Child Mortality
Improve Maternal Health
Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other Diseases
Ensure Environmental Sustainability
Create a Global Partnership for Development

Poverty is a global issue and it needs a political will by all and sundry to end it.

We are soliciting for your kind support and assitance to propagate our vision to eradicate poverty and hunger.
